Hobocon 9: Revelations

HOBOCON 9 – “Hobocon: Revelations”

There’ll be games, rolling of dice, and a fun, relaxed time all round- Hobocon is back for another year of relaxed gaming, dice-adjacent socialising, and good times. Expect RPGs, Board Games, and Pub Quizzes galore.

Returning to the Teacher’s Club, Parnell Square in 2020 for the 30th and 31st of May (that’s technically the June bank holiday weekend, but as always we give you the Monday off to rest and recover); the gaming convention that just refuses to stop breaking even is back for another year.

Keep your eyes peeled for updates to the page when we put out our call for game writers and events- And don’t forget to Invite your mates!

Disclaimer: bindle and fingerless gloves not included. Hobocon does not take responsibly for what you choose to fill your bindle with. Trains will not be provided. Cash bar at the con.

Update:

Hello everyone, Peter here, Director for Vaticon XXVI.

In light of the announcement by the government today, along with advice from health officials on the potential risks of large public gatherings, the Vaticon committee has decided to postpone the convention until such time as large gatherings are no-longer deemed to pose a public health risk.

In the mean time we will start the process of ticket refunds and begin exploring our options for holding the convention at a later date.

As you can imagine, this has been rather tough for all of us here on the committee, and I would like to extend my sincerest thanks for all the time and effort they have pumped into getting the con back up and running so far. It has been absolutely amazing to see the amount of work we have managed to achieve in such a short window.

We hope you understand that our decision to take such actions has not come easily, and we appreciate the continued support of the Irish gaming community going forward.

All the best,

Peter.
