Mothu Larp Festival
July 12 @ 09:00 – 19:00 UTC
Mothú is a one day festival dedicated to celebrating Irish larp. It is being organised by Síofra Ní Lochlainn with help from Lorcan Gaughan and supported by the Irish Games Association. Come join us for a day of parlour larps, and a workshop for new writers. Writers are invited to submit whatever they want – whether that be an old favourite or a new experiment. Open to larpers new and old!
Unlike a typical Irish gaming convention, players sign up for their larps in advance. After the schedule goes live, there will be a few weeks for first round ticket sales. These players will then be able to submit preference forms and be allocated to larps. We will try to give everyone their first preference, but some reshuffling may be needed to make sure every larp can run. Second round tickets may then be released at a premium price to fill the remaining spots.
Mothú will take place on Saturday July 12th, 2025 at the Teacher’s Club, 36 Parnell Square West, Dublin. In terms of accessibility, please note most events will take place on the top floor, and there is no elevator in the building.
