The Gathering: Games Day 2021
EVENTS ARE FINALLY BACK!!!
Due to COVID-19 restrictions and government guidelines, we have decided to limit our Games Day to a Tournament Only format. Our main consideration is to the safety of our gaming family, so unfortunately this has limited the amount of events that we can run on the day.
There will be 6 events running on the day, and these are as follows;
– Battletech Irish Nationals (32 players)
– Star Wars: X-Wing (16 players)
– Warhammer 40K (16 players)
– Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG (32 players)
– Magic The Gathering TCG (16 players)
– RPGs (36 players)
Unfortunately that’s as much as we can run comfortably while keeping the safety of all our players in mind. It breaks my heart to say this, but ALL OTHER GAMES ARE CANCELLED. Pokemon, Age of Sigmar, Bolt Action, Historical Games, meet and greet parent corner and all demo games.
These will not be running unfortunately, just the 6 events listed above.
All players must be vaccinated and have their COVID certs as proof of vaccination. Masks will also be mandatory for all players while attending the event and while on the grounds of Thomond Park.
For those who won’t be able to attend because of the previous list of games, I apologise, but don’t worry as The Gathering will be hosting a large number of events in the next few weeks, just for you.
Other events held at The Gathering, as well as information on a POKEMON PRE-RELEASE, will follow in the next few days. As this Games Day is a more limited event than usual, it will probably a more local event than usual. This will all be great prep for next year, when we will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of The Gathering!!
